Hi All,

I am in the process of completing an application form and the main question is-please explain how your experience is relevant to the post......

As this is the main question regarding the role, how long do you think the answer should be? Is an A4 (both sides) sufficient?

Many thanks!

Personally, I think that A4 (both sides) is too long. I would try and keep it to 1 side of A4 maximum.

Obviously it depends on what the job is as to how much detail you need to go into but I think 1 side should be sufficient.

You don't need too much detail, just pick out the main requirements of the job from the job spec and explain any relevant experience that you have.
Having worked in recruitment if you waffle they wont read it! be precise and to the point keep the information restricted to the minimum you know how some people talk without actually saying anything?....well you dont want to do that when you write.

What job is it for? Good luck
I would take each requirement on the person specification and match your compentence to that requirement giving clear evidence of why you think you have the knowledge, skills or experience. Surefire way to get an interview (as long as you do meet the essential requirements)
