They are a beautiful intelligent breed that take a lot of caring for, need a lot of discipline and very careful early socialisation and training, as they are large, agile dogs that need a firm handler.

I would say not for the first time dog owner, and only for people who are prepared to put the time in to train them and are strong enough to handle them.

Their coats also need quite a lot of attention, to keep them looking like they should.
