I am having a dinner party at the weekend and would like to give people a treat/present/favour but can't think what.
I suppose I am thinking of something like a christmas cracker but to recreate a cracker at the end of march would be a bit naff.
I am just after a small thing, a talking point really.
Anyone got any suggestions about what I could do?

the last time i went to a dinner party like that the hostess had got little cakes of old fashioned shaving soap for all the men and those little cubes of rose and lavendar scented bath cubes for all the ladies. She had just wrapped them up in some really pretty fabric bunched up and tied with a ribbon and everybodys name card attached to use as place settings, it was lovely. Incidently she didn't put people next to their partners almost opposite which meant you couldstill speak to them if you had to but you were drawn to chat with other people, quie effective. Hope you have a lovely evening
i once bought some very small gold-coloured draw-string gift bags from a stationers and put a small silver key ring in each, different ones for men and women, then put the bags into the wine glasses when i set the table.
i have noticed that asda are doing easter crackers this year, but i've no idea what they're like.
Since it's spring and nearly easter, give everybody a spring chicken:

Last time I did a dinner party I bought some little trinket boxes from Hobbycraft (great shop!) and put some Thorntons chocolates in for each guest. I attached a gift tag to each with the guest's name on so they doubled as favours and place settings.
You could put a recipe on a card and fill a little basket with the ingredients to make it at home for each of them.
how about getting some fortune cookies and wrapping them in little boxes, only small i know, but personal all the same.
