I was watching Friends the other day and I heard a song a particularly liked. It sounded like it was by U2 but it wasn't any I had heard. For example it wasn't 'Sometimes You Can't Make it on Your Own' or 'Where the streets have no name' or 'With or Without you' but it did sound a little like the traditional scratchy echoey U2 guitar sound. Also, to confuse things more, I heard it on another channel, quickly put subtitles on, only ot be told it was Sweet Child Of Mine by The Guns and Roses, which it isn't! Please help. Cheers.

was it the one when ross and rachel break up and both are sitting thinking? If it's that one (kinda slow)it's With or Without You and it is U2.

No it isn't. It one of those ones they play at the end of episodes or when the camera pans across the city before a scene. It's not With Or Without You because Ross requests for that to be played on the radio for Rachel, but then Rchel rings the station and tells them what he did, and they stop playing it.
