Tempory start up files

on the disk clean up, will anything happen if i delite tempory start up files?
prev I used an upgrade to vista installation disc but i wanna go back it says its created a file called windows.old i found but i dont know how to go back can someone help me?
  
next Cd and DVD blanks

I was going to do a disk cleanup today but i did not not do it because i did not want to ruin my new laptop.

Temporary files are just that - temporary.

If you don't delete them they increase at an alarming rate.

I clear mine regularly.

it says start up tho, so i dont want 2 screw it up!!

sorry it says setup log files, if delete that will it screw it up?
