try http://www.champdogs.co.uk
click on Guided Search, then Working Group, then Siberian Husky and it will give a list of breeders and where they live.

Make sure the puppy comes from parents that are eye tested and hip scored. Also please make sure your daughter is aware of what these dogs are like to live with - they are essentially pack animals, and like to live outside, dig the garden up and howl all day and night.

Visit several breeders and meet their dogs and you will get an idea of what they are like.
If I were you I would go to Crufts and visit Discover Dogs
It maybe isn't what she is after, but there is a Husky-specific rescue society, I am sure if you Googled it you would find details. If it isn't a rescue dog she wants, they might still be able to put you in touch with reputable breeders.

Many thanks for all your replies. My daughter has now found puppy in Wales and is going to see it tomorrow. Brenda
Wales ?! - beware of puppy farmers - make sure they only breed one or two different types of dogs, and you see mother and preferably father too.
has she considered a northern innuit, they are beautiful, new breed in uk, bread to look like huskyxwolf. my sister has one she is adorable, lovley nature, sligthly bigger than a husky
They are not a new breed, they are crossbreeds, bred from husky/gsd's. No two are the same and when you breed them they become either threequarter husky or three quarter gsd. Exhorbitant prices for mongrels!

The one my daughter has now got is Siberian Husky/Malamute. he looks beautiful and is ,at the moment very timid. There other dog is a german shepard and she is lovely with him.Wlii leave him a while to settle in then get him to meet my two rough collies. many thanks for all your answers. Brenda x
I can imagine how beautiful he is, but please tell your daughter that he is a totally different dog to her GSD!

Both Huskys and Mals are very hard to 'train'. She will be extremely lucky if she can ever let him off the lead (except in a secure area). Both breeds are well known for not coming back! They can be very stubborn (and selectively deaf!).

They are very beautiful to look at and very hardy dogs and like lankeela said they love to howl!!

Thankyou all for your replies. Yes you are right about the howling.!! for a little chap he can make himself heard.! Have tried to tell daughter and son-in-law what has been said about them. But you know what it is like telling your children anything, at any age. Still will have to wait and see.All I can say is I am glad I do nt leave near them at night.! Son-in-law has been sleeping downstairs in a sleeping bag next to the puppies cage ands he still makes a noise all night, the puppy that is not my son-in-law ha ha.!
