I have broadband NTL world and i wash to be able to use my lwireless laptop upstairs , what do i need to be able to use both at the same time please. Thanks

I'm unfamiliar with the NTL package but you need a wireless hub or router. My PC is connected to my router by an ethernet cable and the laptop wirelessly. Did NTL provide a wireless router?
Assuming it's the same as telewest, you get a cable modem, so will need something like this:

hi biyeye the only think ntl supplied is the cable modem.

I tried a Netgear wireless router ofr my sister could not work it out its now in the loft garthering dust .
So now Ive bought her the same as I have got a

Free freephone 0800 helpline and you dont need a laptop to config it all you need to do is temporary bring your pc to the router.
Very handy the freephone. Even though its a call centre in an other country but the English is excerlent.
