go to your chemist and ask a pharmacist for advice. Try drinking hot water with honey and lemon in it to ease the pain a bit. A pharmacist will be able to give you advice as many products are not recommended when pregnant. A doctor can prescribe certain antibiotics that have been approved for use with pregnant woman.
Nearly everything is not recommended in pregnancy (even honey and lemon can you believe). It is to cover all the drug companies. If you have a usual pharmacist you see try them and they are more likely to give you a personal opinion.
You can have certsain antibiotics when pregnant.
Try sucking Ice lollies or those frozen frube things
Sorry redcrx just read your post again and noticed the honey and lemon. I mean the stuff they sell not the home made stuff. Drug companies are soooo paradoid about being sued they slap Not for use in pregnancy on everything despite the fact we have taken loads of stuff for years.
yes i did mean the home made stuff winny lol

as winny says, They dont recommend anything pruely because no pregnant woman would ever be used as a guineapig to test such things so they cant promise its ok for use.
I had tonsillitis last year when I was breastfeeding and found I couldn't take anything at all from the pharmacy, apart from paracetamol!!! And it is purely because medication hasn't been tested on pregnant and breastfeeding woman, not because it has been proven the drugs are harmful. So I would imagine it's the same if you're pregnant. (Unfortunately I don't know what the doctor can give you as I came down with it on a Friday afternoon and went all weekend feeling absolutely terrible - then quite a bit better by the time I could go to the doctors on the Monday so didn't bother!)
