I have an exterior rendered wall to paint. The old paint is flaking in places but solid in others.Do i need to remove all the old paint or will the new masonary paint cover the different levels.

It would probably be hard work removing the solid paint from a wall so I would remove the flaking paint and try to key in the remaining solid paint with the bare wall. I would give the bare patches on the wall a coat of paint first before painting the whole wall again. Good luck.
