We had a fire last month and I'm struggling putting a value to some of the contents lost. The 'problem' areas are mostly things that can't really be replaced, but which have a value at least to us. Any ideas? It's not so much about the money as making sure that our claim covers everything and we've put a realistic value because the insurance company are bound to argue.
Thanks for any feedback.

I would use ebay and see if there are similar items being sold things. Can you be more specific on what items you are struggling to put a value on?
