Hi

I received an ipod nano for xmas and have been trying to download install itunes for the last week!
quicktime and i tunes installer are fine. The icon for itunes is there but nothing happens when i click on it, not even an error message.

There is just the timer then nothing. i have installed it and reinstalled it so many times it is driving me mad. i thought it may be my RAM so i have increased that but NOTHING.

I went into the apple shop and they burned the itunes installer onto a cd but, apart from the fact that i dont think that would have helped, they cd was blank when i got it home. how useful.
I have Windows XP and have done it through the latest Mozilla Firefox. I have also done a virus check on my computer. NOTHING WORKS. please help me somebody!

My son had a problem installing I-Tunes and guessed a protection programme was stopping it so he removed Windows Defender and retried and it worked. Don't ask me why though. Maybe one of your antivirus programs is the problem.
I'd second scotstone's suggestion. Try turning off all the little bits of software running that you can, there may be other issues. Also, make sure your iPod isn't currently connected.
