computer screen streches image.

my dad brough a widscreen LCD monitor for the computer, yesterday, in hope that he could fit more on so he didn't have 2 scroll, but we still have the same amount of infomation on the screen, but it is stretched. how do i set it so it isn't stretched.

well it has stretched every thing, from the little desktop item to images. so it isn't just the internet brower window it streches. if you get what i mean.
Er, you have changed the desktop resolution haven't you?

i ain't changed them, well i don't think i have because i don't know hown!
Your wide screen monitor will need a resolution with the correct aspect ratio, otherwise it will simply stretch the picture to fill the screen.

Somewhere in your documentation you will find the resolution of the monitor. You now need to set your video adaptor to match, as follows:
Right-click on a clear area of the screen
Choose Properties
Click on the Settings tab
Slide the screen resolution slider until the numbers underneath match those in your documentation.
Click OK
