It is possible the scabs could be caused by Fleas. May also have an allergy to something. I have a persian who has a skin allergy, and he used to have little scabs appear now and again. I have heard a tiny bit of cod liver oil in the food can help and also is good for the coat, how true this is Im unsure. It could also be caused by fighting if your cat goes outside.
my puss got a scabby back and the vet told us he was probably allergic to the fleas, i tried frontline as reccomended by loads of people and he seems fine now. the scabs have all cleared away now and no new ones.
