Continuous Nose Bleeds

Hi my 16 year old son has for the past 3 days had 2 to 3 heavy nose bleeds which has obvioulsy frightend him, does anyone know if this is just due to the heating etc or do you think he should see a gp!!! (hes brother also gets them alot).

Hi my son was the same at 15 - i took him to my GP and he was referred to a ear nose n throat specialist - he had to have the nostril cauterised and then he was ok. Sometimes nosebleeds can be due to too much pressure from sinus trouble but it is easily remedied by this procedure.

I used to suffer from nosebleeds when i was a kid and ended up having my nose cauterized. This seemed to sort the problem out. Definitely take a trip to the GP though.
