What do you think of the use of the police power to stop and search? Do you feel they are used fairly, or do you think the power to stop and seach should be abolished completely? Cheers.

It's fine as is, no changes necessary.
My 14 year old son is regularly stopped and searched in town ~ the police do it with most youngsters (especially those in groups) and I don't have a problem with it at all...neither does he, as he has nothing to hide.

There are many who do have plenty to hide, however ~ and for my sons safety I am happy to let it stay.
I totally agree with Pippa68. If you have nothing to hide, then whats the problem? I wouldnt object to being stopped and searched, as long as it was police who was doing it. Although i know it could get a bit embarrassing for a woman if she has some tampax in her pocket...
