I believe Halfords deal in CD players for cars Amongst a vast range of accessories and also ( at least they do at my local store ) provide a fitting service - may I suggest rather than remove the whole unit when vacating the vehicle ( I assume to avoid the theft of it ) you buy one with a removable interface( front) that she can pop in her handbag when parking up - how much you pay for one is up to you.

thanks woodchopper what is a interface?sorry i really am a technophobe! Please dont suggest halfords they let me down badly when buying a sat nav for my sons 21st it arrived after his birthday when ordered well in time
If she has a radio/cassette player you can get a connector that allows playing of mp3 files through the car sound system. It just slots in like a tape cassette and has a connector for the mp3 player. Failing this, if she has an FM radio you can get small FM transmitter ( they are legal now ) which will allow an mp3 player to be used through the car sound system. I use an mp3 player through my car stereo and find it far more convenient than playing CD discs.

Thanks homer she has no mp3 player do you think thats a better prezzy how do get the music on a mp3 player, from the computer? so sorry told you im technostupid!
An interface - a panel containing all the buttons that are required to use it - if it is removed it renders the cd player useless.
depending on the yeae you should quite easily be able to fit it yourself because most new ice units have an iso connector fitted. so ot is just pull one out & fit the new one.
