Recently I had 2 mormons let themselves through my bolted (but not locked) 6 foot gates at the back of my house, and rap on my back door in the pitch black.

I have a fully functioning front door, and I have had a problem with intruders once before (which i reported to police) and I am a girl living on my own so I was a bit scared.

I answered the door only because I was expecting my boyfriend at that time but was quite scared to see two men I did not know, who had closed my gates tightly after them so no-one could see in.

I have been told I should report them to at least their church as they were trespassing and scared the wits out of me in my own home! Do you think I should report them or is this over reacting?

I am in the process of getting a lock fitted to my back gate to keep them out!

I agree with opinions before and i would have been scared by them too. They do sound genuine as, if they were intent on doing harm they had ample opportunity. I would definitely report them to the police AND make a real fuss with their church so they don't forget it's just not a way to conduct themselves. I have met some real nice Mormons, but you seem to have been unlucky. If they had done it in the USA, where their main church is, they would probably have been shot!

Can you let us know what the church said. Would be interesting.

Saying they were dressed the same and asked the same questions worries me, My best mate dresses totally normally, nothing different about her or any of her church going friends, and saying they asked the same questions also is no guarantee, a "real" Mormon could have asked them the same questions a few days earlier, and they could be using this to trick you into thinking they were the real deal.

Good excuse to get your bf to stay round more often!
In Frank Cottrell Boyce's book, 'Millions', there are three suited mormons who live in the house down the road, and they are (if I remember correctly) undercover train robbers attempting to recover their loot.
