I wouldn't buy a second hand one they scratch very easily - I've also heard of problems with software when owners change.
I think you'll find they are mostly the same price new - not something you would find a big difference in price between stores. Bite the bullett - buy a new one and that way when it does go wrong (note the word I use is "when" and not "if" !) you'll have a full 12 month warranty, their excellant collect from home and deliver to home service and peace of mind.
If you buy online at Apple they'll engrave the back for you too - free of charge.

Be carefull on the internet, I have just bought one, from Easyshop, it was discribed as fith gen 80GB, fast UK delivery, joke, it took 18 days came from Honk Kong, no Englidh instructions just some Chinees bits of paper not shure it works properly. Sent about ten Emails to seller all ignored, I looked at sellers feedback, should have looked before I bid, many customers have been caught out with high custom charges and can get no replies or help from seller. Recomend you purchase from a place you can go back to if you have a problem. I was charged �15 P&P so I saved about �10 as against the shops??????
