Iv been having severe stomach aches for ages now, it doesn't seem to matter what i eat that sets them off. Iv had blood tests to check for a bacteria that can cause ulcers, which have come back clear. I have taken omeprazole tablets which help, but when i stop taking them the aches return. My doctor has now put me on them for 4 months to see if that will help. Has anyone else had the same? These stomach aches are driving me crazy, and it would be interesting if anyone else has had the same. I had gastrointeritis last january where i sicked up a load of dark green liquid, could this be the cause???

My sister had ulcers and a hernia, both went undiagnosed for years. Stress makes the acid reflux worse. She was doubled-up with pain and when it flared up again recently, she thought it was the ulcers back, but she had a type of endoscopy (think it's called gastroscopy??!) and turns out she has gall stones. She's having her gall bladder removed next week. Keep pushing your docs to diagnose you - see a specialist if you can - she did and thank goodness she did. She can't eat properly as it causes her extreme pain. She's lost loads of weight. Great for her, she says, but not recommended that way! Good luck.
