How do I remove permanent ink (like 'Quink')from a carpet?

Milk removes ink. Try dabbing it with a cloth with milk on.Do a test put a bit of quink on an old piece of rag and see if the milk removes it.

Thank you! :o) I shall try it tonight. It has dried in, but I will try anything.

Alcohol based hairspray removes all types of ink stains.
Spray on stain and leave for a couple of minutes
Wipe over softly with a damp cloth.
