how does a foetus get it's oxygen from the air to it's cells?

everything the baby requires while in the womb is supplied by the placenta.
the mothers blood provides the oxygen for the baby
Via the umbilical cord
also the fags and booze
I dont think that was appropriate, knowing that fags and booze can kill a baby, its very unthoughtful.
