******! :o(

Thanks anyway..
Yes it is possible but all computers are different, it is usually found in the bios and can be very handy
But for gods sake dont go messing aorund with the BIOS, or you will have alot more seriosu to deal with lo
Get a UPS and this can do this for you also. A bit pricey though.
Some rather silly answers here from graham1024uk. Most modern computers have a setting in the BIOS which allows you to select the behaviour after a power cut. There are usually 3 choices: On, Off, and Last State. Exactly where you will find the settings varies from BIOS to BIOS, but you should be able to work out where it is. As long as you don't change anything you don't understand, there is nothing to worry about.

Thank you all. I'm off to fiddle with my BIOS...

:o)
I have to disagree, Do you know how old the PC is?? I would never play around with the BIOS leave it as it is, then you cant go wrong.

I tried to find the BIOS, but couldn't anyway. Sounds as though I'd be better off leaving it alone anyway...

I left my office last week with the base unit on and the monitor off (allowing me to access remotely), it was OK up until this morning. However, having gone to the office, the base unit was off, hence why I couldn't remotely access. Can only think there must have been a power cut overnight...?

Anyway, remote access is now working again. Just hope the base unit doesn't switch itself off every couple of days. That was my concern.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll be back if anymore problems with it!
