I believe this useful idiot for the Kremlin needs to be banned from politics. He is a threat to our security and safety. He is no politician ,just a serial mischief maker with his loony conspiracy theories. Mind you a couple or three on Answerbank would,no doubt, welcome here with open arms if he hasn't already infiltrated. He has never been anything other than an odious creep.

Galloway plainly doesn't give a damn about the deliberate slaughter of civilians in Ukraine. For example.
To my mind that rather undoes the image of a man of compassion who champions the victim.

in that regard he balances the millions who don't give a damn about deaths in Gaza. Everyone's entitled to choose their own fights.

"That he is democratically elected should be a cause for concern - oh dear the crazies are out in force"

We could have had Jeremy Corbyn as PM. All perfectly democratic and fair; and also a matter of grave concern to many.

As for the other:

"Galloway, you're no John Wilkes" as Bentsen never said to Quayle.

Just another day on AB 😄😄😄😄😄

"Everyone's entitled to choose their own fights"

That isn't what gorgeous George is doing.

Boris's election, and Sunak's non-election, concerned many too. But yes, that's democracy, at least British parliamentary democracy. You don't deal with it by banning candidates you disapprove of (unless you're Putin and retrocop).

He's entitled to his opinion. And, like some who post here, is allowed to state it. But what those listening to that opinion choose to think of the opinions/arguments and speaker is up to them. I think most will understand their value.

The difference is that Boris's stupidity was a smokescreen for a very intelligent guy.  George's stupidity is for real, which makes it easier for his Russian puppet-masters to use him for their own ends.

I don't think Galloway is stupid: which makes it worse. He is also a powerful orator, which is one crucial reason why he wins gullible people over.

Oh, come on, he's just a pussycat ...

that's what rhetoric is for. But I don't buy the idea that Rochdale voters are fools. They've tried voting for different parties over the years (a while since they had a Tory but I don't see that changing soon). They, like, everyone else, have seen Galloway on TV and know how he behaves.

And they voted for him, which perhaps points to the standing of "real" politics and politicians in this country.

"I don't buy the idea that Rochdale voters are fools"

I didn't necessarily say that they are. But if they think Galloway is the answer then they are headed in that direction.

It's an easy cop-out to say "well, it doesn't say much for the rest of them"

He is an obnoxious charlatan.

He certainly has not got the interests of the country  he is was elected to represent at heart but it says alot about jno who has always nailed her true colours to her agenda . Perhaps jno would love to be Georges new Rula Lenska.

He was elected to represent a constituency and you can't nail colours to an agenda.

"a couple or three on Answerbank",retro?I would say at least six are pro-Putin and anti-Israel.Strange days on Answerbank.

why is he always wearing that ridiculous hat. we all know you're bald george!! 🤣

the reason this man was elected was because the major parties - especially labour - have failed to show any leadership on the obvious atrocities being committed by our ally israel. that is unacceptable to millions of voters (others are actually pleased it seems) and labour and the tories have decided to ignore them. well... this is what happens.

"comitted by our ally Israel"?I thought you were against Israel, now you are saying Israel is an ally of yours.Make up your mind.Eejit.

probly means an ally of the UK rather than personally?

"because the major parties - especially labour - have failed to show any leadership on the obvious atrocities being committed by our ally israel. that is unacceptable to millions of voters (others are actually pleased it seems) and labour and the tories have decided to ignore them. well... this is what happens. "

Thats actually rubbish with respect (so to speak). It's a hot topic in Rochdale apparently and put in a demagogue like him, add a bit of controversy over a suspended Labour candidate and bingo.

'As of 2021, the town of Rochdale's population was enumerated at 111,261, and its ethnic makeup was 57.2% White, 34.3% Asian, 2.6% Mixed, 3.4% Black, 2.1% Other and 0.5% Arab. The town's religious makeup was 38% Christian, 36% Muslim, 24.2% No Religion, and has small Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist and Jewish communities.'

I feel  pity for the inigeonous Lancashire residents whose forebears built the town.

(and if that's a racist comment, count me in Daddy!)
