And who will be the first True Blue Tory Aber to tell me local election results throw no clue on how people will vote at the GE

it really is a farce that we have to put up with all this. the governmentbelieves it will lose in the GE and therefore have given up on trying to actually run the country... they are just running down time until they can either get into a plush retirement or campaign for the election after 2024 (delete as appropriate)... meanwhile the rest of us are left without a government.

what a contemptible and unserious bunch of chancers and parasites.

Untitled @ 12.56  Spot on .

// When these elections were last held in 2021 the Conservative Party made significant gains, mainly at the expense of the Labour Party. Since then the Conservative Party has had several high-profile political scandals and crises and has seen a significant decrease in their popularity in opinion polling. This was reflected in the poor results for the Conservative Party at both the 2022 and 2023 local elections. As a result of the 2023 local elections, Labour became the party with most members elected to local government for the first time since 2002. //

No one expects the Conservatives to do well in the Local Elections.

Sunaks pledges.

Halve inflation x Must mean cons heads

Grow the economy x Not sure if the cons grow weed

Reduce debt x  Re- claim  200 million PPE from Mond, and other billions that have gone a drift, and I might even give you half a tick. :0)

Cut waiting lists. x Must mean McDonalds home delivery

stop the boats x HMS QE is at a halt.

Sunak quote. I fully expect you to hold my government and I to account on delivering those goals. un quote. WE will!!

A bit of a non story. Both councillors have become students so technically they don't live in the city but where ever they are studying. Not really a scandal.
