Just been watching 'Fargo' (again after a long break) - surely one of the best series ever.  In season one, two FBI agents puzzle over how a man can safely ferry across the river a fox a rabbit and Cabbage.

He can only take one at a time, e.g. If he takes the fox first the rabbit will eat the cabbage, etc. How is he to do it?

Rabbit first

Then cabbage, bring rabbit back

Then fox

Then cabbage

Then rabbit

Take the rabbit

Take the cabbage, bring back the rabbit

Take the fox

Take the rabbit

Two versions of the same response.

I remembered that it involved bringing one of them back over, but I couldn't make it work, so I waited until someone else came along who can remember, and voila!!

barry's wrong with the 'then cabbage' - it's already been taken over :)

My oopsie, but I knew what I meant before my fingers took control
