Separate bequests apart, I have willed all my money to my children and their children. What will happen to my daughter's share, say, if she were to die before me and the will remain unamended. Will her half automatically pass to her issue?

you can always specify what you want - something like "to my daughter Mildred, or if she should predecease me, then to..." - especially if she doesn't have any children.

It’s worth noting that money/gift is only passed down to children of the beneficiary (if they have died) where the beneficiary is a descendent of the Will maker – otherwise it is returned to the residue of the estate (unless some specific provision is given in the Will).
