Saw a nice house up there and thought about moving up to that area, until doing a bit of research and finding parts are going into the sea, glad I didn't move there. Very lovely part of the UK though

That place is probably about 2 miles out sea now.

There are plenty of houses on the brink right now but I don't think people are allowed to stay in them even if they wanted to.

That was filmed in 1967. I daresay Henry Pamphlett and his house are now both gone. Just hope he wasn't in it when it went.

Not only in Norfolk, but also at Fairlight.About 12 miles from me.

We are luckily far inland!

Sorry, this is a bit out of date(2100) so most of these may have gone already.

However, local estate agents are still pushing houses in Fairlight for sale. Many are not that far from the sea cliff edge!

One of England's most important port towns, here in Suffolk, was lost to the sea centuries ago:

(It's still a beautiful part of the country).

I hope that they're pushing them away from the sea 😊

^^^ Thanks for the other posts too, folks!

I moved into a house on the North Norfolk house only 50 yards from the cliff edge in 1949. When I moved out in 1972 it was still 50 yards from the cliff edge.

In 1977 a "developer" pulled it down to build a block of flats. The sea isn't the only enemy to nice old houses.

generous of the council to offer him a house with no sanitation, just a tap in the garden. I suppose in Norfolk that counted as progress.

Ooops just noticed mistake in my post. Should read "on the North Norfolk coast"
