Has anyone done this? Ladybirder mentioned it and I just wondered how popular it is.

My only 'experience' with it is my next door neighbour who, because she was told it suited her, wore a Cadburys purple outfit to her daughters wedding. She's pale and has fair hair, and I think she looked awful.

Ive never felt the need to have someone tell me what colour I suit.

Pasta your skin tone doesn't change.   If you are yellow toned you will be that way throughout your life.

I think a lot has to do with your hair colour.

A friend of mine is blonde (out of a bottle)and I am 50 shades of grey (not out of a bottle).

We were trying glasses on in Specsavers and realised she suited gold frames and I suited silver frames.

When I wear a red top, I'm quite often told I suit it so I think perhaps pinks, reds and purples are for me.

If you have a really good friend like I'm lucky to have, we are always honest with each other, and I respect her opinion.

It doesn't have anything to do with your hair colour Barsel.  Anyone can change that it they wish.  It is your skin tone which you can't change.  You are either yellow or blue if I remember correctly.  I do stlll have the book on my shelf but I cba to pick it up and have a look.  I  am shocked at how many women who come into my flat have a look along my bookshelves and choose the CMB book to pick up and peruse.

I do know it works for me.  As a Summer, the pinks, purples, blues and ivories in my garden borders suit me.  Been years since I went into a shop but I do remember some Central London clothes shops putting their goods out on rails by colour.  So useful.

It's really interesting to learn how it works and how some folk obviously really almost rely on what they've been  told.

I pretty much already know what suits me and what doesn't, and what I feel comfortable wearing.

Me too Vagus.  No beige, pastels, yellow or oranges for me.  Only khaki green

Lots of blues and grey with  a few dark reds.

I think the colour that suits me best is stone washed denim!

I just go straight for greens and blues. The greens need to have some yellow in them and the blues need some green in them. Also some brown/rust with the olive green. Absolutely no pinks or reds...maybe a very deep purple.

No primary colours or yellow.

My flat is the same.

If I wear green I look very very ill, and I would never wear any shade of blue.

I look and feel better in autumnal colours and black.  Lots of white and vivid colours in the summer.

I love greens and navy and I am lucky despite being pale that I can wear black

They tried in the early 2000s,   the consultant couldn't match me at all, but she did say when I was older I would definitely be a winter,  but I seem to get away with all colours except beige, taupe, and tan browns. ( poo colours) Just lucky.   I think once my hair goes white I will be a winter but as that is highly unlikely to happen while they sell recital I will carry on like a strange psychedelic turkey ( as I was described by a colleague many moons ago)

When an organisation is 'committed to' something you just know it's going to be an epic fail.

(Is that still a thing?)

"A fool and their money are soon parted" springs to mind.

But what would I, a mere male, know about it 😆    😆    😆

the colour that suits me best is stone washed denim!

I hope you're not too distressed, Countrylover 👖!

I like black too.  I don't wear much jewellery, but when I do it has to be silver not gold..

When I lived in  France, I was told again and again by French ladies that Englishwomen should not wear black!

I accidentally had a colour consultation once ( the lady was going for a qualification and practised on me because I had wandered into her shop).  The sludge greens and acid yellows she suggested really worked at  the time, but as I have aged and lost colour I have needed to tweak them.  They still work pretty well though.  Pastels have had to go!

You will be amazed what a difference wearing the right season will make, I gave a negative response when my Mum had her colour analysis done with colour me beautiful, but I ate my words when I had myself done.
