First thing this morning there was an excellent leading article on the web page of the Telegraph;

'Multiculturalism is becoming a Trojan horse for Islamist domination.

The Michaela scandal is another clash between this hostile ideology and British values.'  by Nick Timothy.

It has now gone without trace - can anyone think why this may have happened ?

i do though. you just don't like it and can't argue against it.

Show me where you've posted your argument, untitled.

All you're doing there is criticising other people.  That's no argument.

ok then. let me put it like this

you asked me "why do i want muslims here?" but i do not have a say in who gets to "be here". muslims are here and have been since long before i was born. they are part of my country and whether i "like" that or not is irrelevant. british muslims have a right to exist and i consider rhetoric that posits every last one of them as some kind of threat to civilization to be an attack on that right.

i do not support special treatment for muslims... i hope that Michaela is allowed to uphold its ban on religious rituals. i hold to those principles precisely because i view british muslims as equals rather than as a people to be fought and defeated. nor am i interested in "defending islam" because i do not believe in it and think the religion is reactionary and conservative in its ideas.

hope that helps

//Either I lie, - and what I say is a complete fabrication. I am an illiterate idiot. Or, The Daily Telegraph puts out a different world website which is edited throughout the day differently than the home UK edition.//

It's a tough one but I've ruled out you being a liar. It's between the other two.

You are aware lots of Muslims born in Britain claim not to be British?

Hope that helps.

ROY, how many is, "lots"?

You're such a predictable bore TCL

ROY, "lots" is meaningless and you know it.

Is it tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, a million?

Can you put a number or a percentage to, "lots of Muslims"?

If a newspaper reported, "Poll shows Labour will win lots of seats at the next Election" would you not wonder, "What on earth does that mean?"

If someone said to you, "It means they'll win a large number of seats." would you be any the wiser?

the best and most recent evidence i was able to find which actually made an effort to measure that is this metastudy by ipsos mori...

https://www.ipsos.com/en-uk/review-survey-research-muslims-britain-0

88% of muslims in the uk say that they  consider themselves british according to this report... this figure is especially high among muslims who have graduated university. research by gallup in 2009 found the same thing so it isn't an unusual result.

younger muslims also report holding quite different views to older muslims

88% of muslims in the uk say that they  consider themselves british according to this report

To be fair that's probably higher than the Scots.

But when the ones who say they are not British (when they actually are) they mean they are Muslim and their geographical location is irrelevant.
