Thanks, retro. I do recall somebody keep the body of their old relative in the freezer whilst they kept claiming his pension
British Police ( I expect Retro to know this) closed the case after they found little Ben's fave dynosaur near the site in the Greek Island where the old farmer finally confessed running him over.

The infant had wandered off and got under the wheels of a tractor. The farmer ( neighbour) panicked.
Death bed confession led to the artefacts being found

No one told the Germans

and yes I thought they HAD checked if McCann suspect had been to any Greek Island

I regard this issue as 'solved'. as much as it can be now
I see this went nowhere.
line of duty
Keeping bodies in freezers is well described
BUT
freezing and thawing, liddle ice crystals form and disrupt the cells in a characteristic way

altho we kinda new all this 50 y ago

Freezers - bit skippery on that !

Ice formation and then thawing, forms crystals and these rupture the cell membranes in a characteristic way - so you can tell ( even I can tell) bit  like freezing  a strawberry - it doesnt come out right

bad unmimsy Ynni !

^Are you okay Peter?
