Recently people in TV programmes receive texts which are shown on the screen briefly which I can't read quickly enough, I find this intensely annoying and have to wind back and pause the screen (if I can be bothered)

Does anyone else have the same problem or is it just old age 😏😡

I agree, nothing to do with age.

Probably  Margo.  We went of track. Sorry.  I think messaging is mainly ly for the younger population.    It seems a way of life.  If I want to tell someone something I  contact  by phone.  My son messages.  If I message its something very short.

A gnome emoji?

I'm glad it's not just me, I have enough problems hearing half the  dialogue because of the mumbling without having to cope with reading tiny messages on a phone! Of course being a crouch is everything to do with old age 😂🤬

I what'sap my friends and son all the time, but do enjoy having a chat on the landline (up to 1 hour free) but hate talking on my mobile

I chat to friends on Messenger on my tablet for free.  My friend in Spain and I often chat directly a couple of hours.

I must admit to preferring to use the house phone  rather than my mobile. Not many people have my mobile number but some businesses or services need it.
