We've just bought a hedgehog house with two chambers and a removable weather proof roof, where is the best direction to have it facing in our garden and should we put straw / grass ,leaves etc in the sleeping compartment or leave it empty? Thanks

O.G. They've agreed to try and clear my garden of slugs......hopefully my Lupins and Delphiniums will survive this year.

Last time I just left empty though I can't see what harm a bit of straw would do
