I'm trying to make Santa hats for the grandchildren with strawberry and banana but dont really want to use skewers.

Is there anyway i can glue the 2 fruits together? Tried edible glue i use for cakes but doesn't work, probably too wet.

Many thanks.

Don't know if it would work but drop of jam or ready made icing?

glue

Try a large darning needle (does anyone darn anymore?) and some wool and literally stitch them together.

I say wool rather than cotton which would be too sharp & cut through the fruit.

Toothpicks?

Strawberry jam glaze.

They are for children to eat so real glue or wool might not be the best option, but thanks.

Hence the expression "I'll eat my hat"...?

I don't get it. Why would you eat a hat?

To get ahead.

egg white.

sugar solution.

A really concentrated sugar syrup might work

Toffee.

Do they like strawberries?  I've made these before and they came out amazing!

Also, if you can find them, what about sweet 'cigerette' candies?

That was meant as an alternative to wooden skewers :)

Use tiny pieces of Apple or carrot instead of skewers should be firm enough, you might need to make the hole in the strawberry  with something sharper first.
