Are those letters right? There's a variety called Laura but certainly not a genus. Closest I can do is Orbea!
I think the letters are wrong. I would bet on LAYIA - Check your letter U. Where did it come from?
Draba would also answer the clue.
LAYIA is much closer to the description in the clue

Thank you all. Iagree it must be lAYIA. The clue for the Y is Purple colour in heraldry 7which I thought was purpure!
