Winter Fuel Allowance

Anyone received their winter fuel allowance yet.  Info is November/December but we'll into November not seen anyone mention it yet. Just curious..

It's usually December - mine came on 8th December last year.

I've always had mine mid November.  It may depend where your initial is in the Alphabet.

I haven't but several friends have.   Don't think it depends on Surname,  friends that have received it all have names further along the alphabet than mine

Not dependant on surname.  I had mine long before Mr L.  Perhaps dependant on ni number.

My surname begins with W and I got mine ages ago.

NI number would be favourite - that's what determines your pension day.

Mine usually came around the 3rd-4th week in November...followed by the letter telling me im getting it. Last year I got the letter first...with payment early December. 

So far...I've had the letter.

OH got his a couple of weeks ago and I got mine about 10 days ago.

I check my account every day. Once it's in, I transfer it to savings.

Do you have to claim for it or what?Im 63,can i get this money?It wouldnt go amiss.

You get it when you reach pensionable age.
