It popped as I pulled the tab...but try as I might, I couldn't pull it up.

Might need an old fashioned tin opener .

That will be fun...like opening a corned beef tin without the little *key*.

I'm just always a bit wary of tins that don't open properly.

use a normal tin opener, but turn the tin upside down first.

that has happened to me 3 or 4 times but I have an electric tin opener which done the job also does the job of opening the corned beef tin. fab.

Try a pair of pliers pasta. I'm sure the cat food will be ok.

You can always give it a quick sniff to confirm.

If it popped there was a vacuum inside and the food will be fine.

Always check a can has concave ends (sucked in) if it, the other way throw it away. Breaking tabs are very common.

Be as well, already tried a can't opener.
