Another New Visitor To 7Th Floor

Happened to look up from the screen, greater spotted woodpecker on the fat log feeder, never had one before, a couple of people who used to feed the birds have moved away so I guess my feeders are the safest place to eat.

Always lovely to see a woodpecker, I hear them a lot in the summer early mornings, drumming away on the trees.

How lovely, rowan!  To the best of my recollection, I've never seen a woodpecker, though I recall hearing them when we'd picnic in Ruislip Woods 🙂

We back on to woods and often have a greater spotted woodpecker visit the feeder. Once looked out to see Mum on the feeder and youngster on the fence waiting to be fed, a really beautiful moment.
