So why shut down answers that were perfectly germain to the question and then shut down the possibility of answering?

Nailit - I advised you why the posts on the previous thread may have been deleted.

That may be why the thread was closed.

This is likely to go the same way I would suggest.

Raise your query with the Editorial Team in the morning.

I have just watched a box set of Stephen Nolan in Maghaberry. And when he intereviewed the prisoners - there are so many emotions there it made me cry - I know without instant - a lad who had just returned from Afghanastan - got no mental help now lies jail

Another heavey guy - his two arms and legs are busted with cutting himself up - then at the end of the interview - he says he has been diagnosed with Aspergers.

Another man (with a warning of a photo of him trying to tear his scalp off) - Jesus these men are in the wrong kind of system to get medical help.

Nailed - just keep on pursuing the authorities and some day you it will come right for you.

The Governor of Maghaberry is doing the best he can but my God who would have his job.

Think the whole situation needs to be reviewed so that the proper treatment can be given to really ill.

Say ANYTHING that the mods dont agree with
and its straight to the dungeon and off with the head.
Nailedit - I am not going to argue with you.

If you are unhappy with the Moderator's actions, raise it with the Editor.
Alternatively nailit could, along with 9999 other disgruntled Answerbankers march up and then down Church hill.

That is of course if he likes wasting his time on fruitless missions.
You can't fight city hall, nailit. The great and the good know what's best for as, same as it ever was.
I don't know what was said in the removed posts or why the thread was closed, but if it helps you to talk, wiz, carry on talking. Some people recognise you are struggling and they are listening. We all need a friendly ear at times. x
Posts are removed if they contravene Site Rules. Threads tend to be closed if they are becoming acrimonious and simply going nowhere except causing animosity.

It has always been this way, since there have been Site Rules and Moderators.

Those affected who don't agree with moderation on their posts and / or threads need to raise their issues with the Editorial Team.

Constant carping on the site produces nothing except the possibility of more deletions and closures.

That quote about Site Rules is a load of ***. I have reported posts that have clearly broken the rules and nothing was done. It's all up to the prejudices of the individuals in Ab who run the site.
Canary - those 'individuals' are the Editor and Team - best address your grievances to them directly.
It might be useful if when *whoever* removes a comment, they indicate which site rule has been broken...according to them...and why they removed it. Otherwise it leaves a mood of resentment.
If anything, moderation seems to cause more animosity than it claims to stop.
Pasta - I would agree with your suggestion, hopefully it is implemented.

But moderation is like any management action - if you agree, Mods are marvellous, if you disagree, Mods are morons.

It's never been any different
