Labour Membership down 125,000 since the last election! Such is the success and popularity of the great Sir Keir Starmer.

David Blunkett was right when he said they'd need a "miracle" to win at election time.

Erm, yes, if £ 12.50 a day for Saddo Khan doesn't focus the minds of the electorate, I don't know what will! What a bunch of money-grabbing cretins.
It's not surprising, Keir Starmer is the most boring politician ever, and holds zero attraction for anyone under the age of 59.
Yes, not Labour's most charismatic Leader. Still rates higher than A Liz in Blunderland but she made PM (albeit for only a few days) so maybe ! ! !
125,000 Corbyn supporters gone isn't necessarily a bad thing- perhaps Keir has cleared out the garbage- it's a good start anyway!
It is not people who would join the labour Party that really matter in a GE though.

Middle England giveth and Middle England taketh. And all it takes is for Lady Nugee to open her trap again and its game over.
Lot of those will be the Corbynites who left en masse.
Membership matters from the point of view of funds but the quality of members also matters. That applies to the tories too
Labour had 407,445 members at the end of 2022.

The Conservative leadership poll at the end of 2022 to all members, a total of 140,000.
Labour despite losing members since 2019 still have three times the number of members, the Conservatives have.
-- answer removed --
Party membership numbers are irrelevant.

It's a lesson Labour learned when they thought they had a chance of winning an election with Corbyn as leader.

What kind of dork joins a political party anyway, and why?
Conservative membership is pathetically very low at the 14K mark (if the leadership contest is to be believe).
Why anyone would want to be a member of such a failed enterprise is beyond me.
