I Need Help With This Thing, Plss

so basically I need help to know what to do in this situation, because I don't know what is best to do:
J and E had a thing, nothing very serious, and even dated 1 week, but then they ended things.
After a few months he started dating L, getting serious with her, but after like 1 month, they got mad and took a break, but only for a week, and that week E went to send a message to J telling them to do what they had agreed to do at the dance (which I never understood what it was but I think it was that making out or some *** like that ).
L and J are my two best friends but they have never been close, and obviously I don't tell them what they tell me.
after he went to text J she came to tell me, and I asked her if I could tell L, but she said it was better not to, and I didn't tell her.
That week passed and they got back together and spent months together and I never remembered that.
Today L came to tell me, that he told her that he did that, but she didn't tell me exactly what it was, she just said that it was a very stupid thing that he did during that week, I realized right away that it was that.
And now I don't know what to do, because L will be upset that I didn't tell her if she knows that I knew, and I don't know if I tell her I knew or not. but if I also say I don't know, she might find out.
