Well that was the toughest (and best) of the year so far by a country mile.

I don't remember clues where the wordplay leads to anagrams of the answer before. It was quite tough in a few cases to determine where the 'contents' went in the 'container'.

Great construction, Raven. Many thanks.

The toughest, certainly - it was an absolute beast!

I'm pretty sure I have the endgame nailed on, but I'm seeing a gaping ambiguity. I'll have to sleep on it.

Thanks Raven - that was a fascinating challenge.
Ah, yes. I think I have it now.
Well, I'm finding this oyster very reluctant to divest its pearls. The jumble clues are fairly accessible but often lead to multiple possibilities of entries. As I type this - as is the way - I have a welcome flash of inspiration about the author and their translator so hopeful that this might all pan out.
After 3 consecutive near misses my heart sank at first, especially since a first pass at the clues was not very encouraging, but I persevered and was lucky enough to identify the author early on, otherwise I would have had no chance.

Wow! What an amazing concept and execution.

Thanks Raven, that was a whole lot of fun.

Fabulous theme and execution. Thanks, Raven.
Astonishing
I’m amazed one has mentioned the ambiguity in the shading. Is it 30 or 32 cells? There is quite a debate going on in the Crossword Help Forum.
