Someone is holding some of my property to ransom on rented land, what rights do I have to go and retrieve it ? Any advice gratefully appreciated

Why did they do that?. Was your property stolen from you? Do you know who the owner of the land is.?
More info might help.
do you want the property back?
are they charging you a disposal fee?
are you paying the rent ?
erm I think no
the property is obviously movable
and ransom means he is demanding money

now if it were a football - yes OK so long as you made good any damage

funnily enough the old write of replevin covered this - BUT they went in the 70s

Replevin (/rɪˈplɛvɪn/) or claim and delivery (sometimes called revendication) is a legal remedy, which enables a person to recover personal property taken wrongfully or unlawfully, and to obtain compensation for resulting losses.

I think you might have to take advice on this one
