does anyone know the name of a song and the singer that goes "jesus christ im on fire when you smile" its in the first series of teachers but is really winding me up. and it isnt on the sound track.

What your looking for is "Jesus Christ" by th Longpigs. It's on their album "The Sun Is Often Out"

The song you seek is called "Jesus Christ" and it's by most underrated Sheffield band The Longpigs. It's on their 1996 debut album "The Sun Is Often Out" which is pretty much an essential purchase if you like angsty tuneful artrock in the vein of Radiohead's "The Bends" or Adorable's "Against Perfection".
