Today's ITV 7 is very much a 'northern' affair in that the 3 tracks providing the 7 races are all oop north - or, if you're from the south, ap norf:-) The first leg is the 1.50 Musselburgh, where 3 more races come from, Carlisle provides one and Happy Haddock (Haydock to the uninformed) provides the other 2.
The 3.00 Musselburgh is a 13 runner handicap in which a certain Vintage Clarets runs, trained by my fav trainer on the level, Richard Fahey. Just a pity Hannagan no longer rides for him, but after yesterday's heroics (not to mention my usual tenner on at 9/1 (for the 2-1 result), it would be rude of me not to have a fiver @ 15/2. :-))

I'm just on my way out so quickly did 3.00 Musselburgh Silky Wilky 13/2 50p E/w.
I prefer longer odds but haven't the time to look through the horses (not that that usually helps me :-) ) so have gone for the favourity type shorter odds for once. I might win £4.90!
Forgot to say good luck Ken.

ITV7, above qualifiers, plus; Vintage Clarets and Itso Fury (£2 win). £1 e.w. acca which, if successful, will break the bank at Monte Carlo:-)

Once again, best of luck to all punters.

While hunting the stats, couldn't help but notice that the Johnstons and Fahey had won all 5 previous runnings of the opener at Muss. Having decided to favour Fahey's Gincident, i decided it only prudent to do a small (50p) Rev f/c with the Johnston horse. 50% of £82.85 ain't bad, though i would've preferred the alternative 1-2. Beggars etc.

And, with the short delay at Haydock, it's allowed me to have a Queen song reference mugs rev f/c - Global Famenglory & Golden Glance :-))

Another £15 in the pot :-)

Gweedore and Autumn Festival
Question Author
Didn't get the forecast but, as you can see from my selections, i did have a fiver on the winner :-))
Question Author
Well done with Silky Wilkie, Carrott. We ought to have done the forecast between us- paid over £40.
Yours had flown and had opened up a sizeable gap by the time mine got out of the pack to chase yours home. Not too fussed, not had a bad day so far and VC keeps my placepot going:-))
Question Author
A very good afternoon; 3 winners from the main bet - all with a fiver on them - drawing just under £260 from my initial £25 stake. 'Bout time i had a decent Saturday :-)
Question Author
Lisloran let me down for the e.w. component of the ITV7 and i've just done something i shouldn't have - checked wat the pay-out would've been had it ran 2 places higher. £1,837:-(
