I'm in my seventies and I suspect that my adult children have put some kind of tracking device on my phone while I was in hospital, as they always know exactly where I am.

Can anyone give me advice on how I can find out if such a device is on my phone? It's a Honor ID

you could ask them?
it will be an app, so look at your apps - are there any new ones?
On some phones there is a pre-installed app that will show the location of your phone.
it'll be in the apps list, look down the list and uninstall, it should have a name that makes it pretty clear.
maybe ttt but mines called life 360, i dont think that makes it clear it's a tracking app
mine is -- where is my phone

or within the family my god he is not down the boozer upskirting again dirty biy !

I am quite flattered that someone cares
ok well it may take some detective work but it'll be in the app list.
There are various websites and apps claiming to be able to track someone else's 'phone by using his or her number.

If that is true, there may be nothing on your 'phone.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I've looked in the apps list and don't see anything that might be a tracker.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
I hate being "babysat" and fussed about but I suppose I should be grateful really.
But surreptitious tracking would be a step too far for me. Thankfully I can't find any evidence of it unless there is some way to do it without my knowledge.
10Clarionst mentioned the possibility of a pre installed app showing location. This might be the case on my phone but I can't find that app.
I'll leave it for now and next time they come around I'll simply ask how they always know where I am.
Phone one of your children from another phone, say you've lost your mobile and ask if they have any idea where it is.
Chanel5, as a test just leave your phone with a friend for a couple of days, then you'll know.
You could always go into your settings and turn off "location" .... unless you need it to be switched on for any of your other apps??
If you turn off Location in your phone settings that should stop them being able to track it.
Perhaps it's a tracker device somewhere, not on your phone. Possibly in your car (if you have one) or in the lining of your handbag.
On my Apple phone it is called 'Find My' and can be found in Notifications. I find it useful to have but you can switch it off.
It doesn't have to be anything as complicated as a tracker device.
you can track via google maps. All someone has to do is go into your phone, open google maps, turn on sharing with their profile / phone and they can track your location until sharing is turned off.
Unless you turn location off.
yes Find my (device) will do it too, but i assumed chanel5 would have found an app like that when looking, whereas Google is preinstalled
It would be a step too far for me too. Let’s hope it’s not the case.

My Mum is late 80’s and quite vulnerable but when she’s up to it she gets out for a stroll or if she has a lift, goes to social events and we don’t track. Mind you there would be little point as she never remembers to take he phone anyway!
