Hello Woodelf, how do you know that there is no picture?

I hope you are well.

Wolf - big smile!
OK, avoiding the obvious problem ...

Have you tried the lead was pushed fully in at both the DVD player and the TV?

Have you tried a different lead?
I see that this is a TV with built in DVD player - is it just the DVD picture which is not displaying - do you get a picture when watching TV?

Dave
My instinct (as usual with this sort of problem) is to unplug the set from the wall, not just turn off with the remote control, and wait 5 minutes or so before plugging in and trying again.

If that doesn't work, look for a menu item called 'reset to factory settings' or similar - you will then have to retune your freeview channels, but it may solve the problem.
Worst case is that the backlight has gone.
Woodelf; We've got a L24DVDB19. Quite old and with a built-in DVD. Tiny screen - reminds me of the days when tellies were black and white and you had to sit as many feet away from the screen as the screen size (e.g. 12" screen, 12 ft etc.).
If my old Logik had your symptoms I'd presume it needed repairing or more likely replacing. Unlike a Morris Minor or an old Vaillant boiler; they work until they don't and then you mend with a chunk of metal, whereas even old Logiks are rather sophisticated and might need a new PCB or telly. Thanks for reading so far. Good luck.

At times like these, Mamya sometimes used to "fight my corner", but as the lovely lady is with us only in spirit...
Wolf, I am totally blind and as well as a good tv quiz show doesn't have a "picture round" (e.g. The Chase), I only "watch/listen" to tv progs and films I remember when I could see...I don't use the audio description, as "it" talks over some very beautiful music (e.g. Unforgotten), the programme itself (as with others) explained in verbal shorthand by my partner during the ad breaks.
So, I was "watching" an old episode of Summer Wine and she came in and said "you've got no picture" - and the rest is...
Many Thanks Dave and how's your tree and I've done the turn off and on, but will think about the factory settings, etc.
Ellipsis, I will try the obvious with the leads.
Many Thanks again All.
Had it been a vintage TV set, pound to penny it would have been the Line Timebase Output Transformer or the Tripler (eht)!!

Found this On line;

Assuming brightness control and HDMI cable checks out, then do the following.

1. Unplug your TV for 60 seconds. Don't just turn it off.

2. Hold the power button down for 30 seconds after it is unplugged.

Count slow on those 60 seconds or use a watch.

3. Plug your TV back in and check for a picture. If it's working, you are done.

4. If the above does not restore picture, do a factory reset.

Best of luck!!!

Back light has gone. - repair or replace. My thought would be to replace.
