Indeed, Anne. We could have evolved into a loving caring world full of humans. Didn’t really take long to go wrong.

And another mass shooting in America. Why are we like this? I want my children and grandchildren to go out and explore all the world has to show them. And I want them to just stay home. What a mess we’ve made somehow. :-(

Just a hundred years ago we would not have heard about this, probably not 50 or 30 years ago.
TV, radio and especially the internet has shrunk the world so we are all so much more aware of man's inhumanity.
Thankfully they make the news because they are out of the ordinary, unacceptable and shocking to the vast majority of decent, kind people

One gets the impression that Alabama doesn't have a good reputation regarding treating others well. One trusts that isn't the reality.

Not the first time cruel, sadistic things have been done to prisoners in American jails. One that sticks in my mind is where the guards locked a prisoner in a boiling hot shower cubicle.

Man’s inhumanity to man knows no bounds. Mankind is at it’s most creative designing different and fiendish ways to inflict pain and destruction upon his fellow man. A failed species.

He was on suicide watch. Seems suicide would be preferable to the sadism in these jails. Poor man.
