For fun Dave and I have been looking at what Saints are Patron Saints of.
He has just wandered into my little office and told me St. Valentine is the patron saint of farting.
It's actually the patron saint of fainting. I will book an eye test tomorrow before he offends all the Catholics in the village.

St Columba is the patron Saint of Witches and Witchcraft, I would have thought it would have been St Brigid as she was derived from Brid, the Celtic goddess of smithcraft, and the hearth. I was delighted to hear Ireland has made At Brigids day a new public holiday, I think it's the first pagan goddess to get one, plenty related to a non existent god
