I think I heard the first radio play to be broadcast will be rebroadcast to mark it's 100th anniversary.
I think it deals with people trapped in either a mine or a collapsed building.
While it was scheduled long before the tragic events in Turkey/Syria should the broadcast still go on in view of what's happened?

Yes it should.
It was only 12 minutes long and bears little relationship to anything that's happening in Turkey at the present time. Listen for yourself; it starts 3 minutes and 53 seconds into here:
I think some people are far too sensitive - on fb I put on a photo of a jacket with the words 'don't mess with dog owners - we know places they will never find you' and a drawing of some trees - someone on my friends list complained it was insensitive with the dog walker missing!
Since I posted last night, it's occurred to me that, as the first ever play that was written especially for radio (even if it was actually an adaptation of a stage work by a different writer) was broadcast on 15 January 1924, it's likely that it's 100th birthday won't be celebrated until early next year anyway. That must surely be long enough after the Turkey earthquake for there to be no accusations of 'insensitivity' flying around, shouldn't it?
Listening to the radio and not giving it a slap ( the radio of course)

so...OK.... art mustnt imitate Life - when it is Death

does anyone remember the black and white tv play
where they spend an inordinate amount of time under the stairs
and it ends with one threatening another with a hammer?
o god people are always complaining there is something wrong with me - I ignore them
