Hey, I need to get a tight butt in about a month. I eat right, go running a lot, always take the stairs, and work out. But my butt and lower back and belly are still flabby! I think my belly might just be baby fat (I'm 16), but I know I can get a nice bottom and back (I really want those cute little "dimples" on my lower back). Does anyone have any good exercises to help me with this? Since I already work out I'm fairly fit, but these problem areas are not going away, I've been trying for about 6 months now! I've tried a bunch of exercises but they have done nothing for me (especially my back, my butt only shaped up a little then I stopped getting results; this was about 5 months ago, and I've continued to try to no avail). Whenever I try to do exercises that claim to help me get those dimples, I get no results! I used to be skinnier and I had them then, but I can't get them to come back! Please, I need an intense exercise(s; 2-3 maybe, for each part if necessary) that will help me accomplish my goal! If you can provide ANY help, it would be SO greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Just stick to being sensible and don't over do it!! you are too young to start doing to much intensive stuff, you will just mess yourself up big time. Try to accept who you are naturally, never do all this body changing stuff for anybody but you!!

Oh, I am doing it for me lol! Thanks for your help. See, I just want to be able to feel better about myself. I already messed up my body, unfortunetly; over the summer I did really intense exercises and built up a lot of muscle on my stomach, but for some reason, the fat never came off. My stomach is rock hard and there's a little layer of fat over it, that makes me look awful in anything I wear (it sticks out from the muscle, ew!). Then on my lower abs, there's muscle but a very thick layer of fat. Ever since, I've been miserable because I look awful. :(

Oh yeah, I also did a lot of cardio and pilates. Forgot to mention that, sorry!
Chali, may I ask are you a girl or a boy? Has someone told you that you need to tone up?
Question Author
I'm a female, I'm 16 years old. I tried doing toning exercises, but they didn't help me either (I even went to the gym and got a trainer!). The fat just won't go.
You may be overtraining. If you do too much, the body reacts by becoming 'soft, which makes people train even harder, which is then a self fufilling vicious circle.
If you want to do this correctly you need to speak with a professional who can tailor a programme to suit you. You need to be changing your workout every 4-6 weeks or the body will adapt and changes slow down and plateau. Hire a Personal Trainer, and ask for dietary advice too, Plus, drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest. The muscles are broken down when exercising and it is during rest that they repair and build/tone (whatever your goal is) and that is when you see results. If you don't take days off or rest then they won't repair and tone up and that is why you are becoming 'soft' in these areas possibly. Never work the same muscle group two days on the run-either take a day off, or alternate yoru programme, eg upper body one day, lower body the next. It's all down to technique and training smart.
Good luck!!
PS....
you need to be eating well too. Your body needs fuel, your muscles need protein to repair themselves. If you don't eat right no exercise regime in the world will work properly. I remember erading that 75% of what you look like is down to what you eat.

Wow, thanks a bunch! The part about the body becoming soft when training too hard really makes sense and explains my problem completely!
Here is your answer...

My friend tried the 12 week challenge... and i dont recognise her. Her body has changed beyond belief. I'm embarrassed to be with her, as she looks so good, and I look..... well..... y'know..... not AS good.

Thanks! Do you know how much it cost?
a good exercise for getting rid of your belly fat is to lie on your back then lift up your legs so that your thighs are vertical and your shins are horizontal, then mover your legs in and out and it really works your lower abs. i hope that helps.
